noteworthy news would be nintendo closing one of their studios. Has that ever happened and why has it not happened yet considering that they are in so called dire straits.
Nintendo said they don't fire people. They just assign them to new products. That's why when studios that make games like the Golden Sun series don't sell enough copies, they assign them to Mario Tennis games instead of closing them down.
This studio was responsible for Kinect Adventures and other Kinect games (I believe Kinectimals as well)
And nothing of value was lost.
They closed it in less than 2 years since it opened (or so it says) and it was a 1 BILLION DOLLAR investment so this must be hurting.
Ohhhh. Ummm, I guess I spoke too soon. Ouch.
However the project the teams their were working on will not be stopped.
Another Kinect game... yay?
Not going to lie, I would love P2 on the PS4. The first one was amazing and my fiance loved it too.
EA confirmed it's a timed exclusive so probably expect it on iOS, Android, and PS4 later next year.
I disagree about length. Some games simple draaaaaag and have filler side quests just to pad out game length. Look at the Assassin's Creed games. Boasting "over 80 hours of gameplay." Too bad most of it is just crap. Like eating cotton candy. Once you're finished, you realize you just ate a bunch of nothing.
I'd rather a memorable 10 hours of gameplay that will stick with me than tacked-on multiplayer or ham-fisted collectibles/fetch quests.
Plus, I found that I've played many single-player games multiple times than I've even bothered with multiplayer.

Infamous Second Son, Which will outscore titanfall
- MLB 14 The Show
- Final Fantasy XIV
You are out of your mind, if you think Infamous is going to get anything over an 7/10.
And Titanfall looks like one of those games that reviewers are going to overrate simply becuz of the hype. It will be one of those games that at its time will be looked at as a great achievement, but later be seen as an overrated game by most (like GTA4 was).
What are you on about? Infamous and Infamous 2 have meta's of mid 80's
Why wouldn't it score over a 7?
They're focusing on the 7.5/10 inFamous 2 and inFamous: Festival of Blood scored while neglecting the 9/10 the original has.
I think inFamous: Second Son has a solid 8/10 waiting for it. Hope it does at least.
As for the OP, inFamous: Second Son is the only title so far. MLB: The Show 14 and Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn could release around that time too but I think Titanfall will definitely have a big impact.
At the same time though, I can't see it being the end all and be all in sales mostly due to the lack of a single-player. Sure, multiplayer will be big but all I ever hear is, "Ugh, that game looks intense! But why no single-player? Makes it difficult." I could see lack of a single player being a complaint by reviews too (but it'll still score very well).
I think Mark Cerny was spread too thin. Between working as PS4 architect and designing a new game (for launch no-less), it drained development of his game.
Knack had potential to be something great. But damn, did they screw that up. Repetitive gameplay, lack of charm, minimal platforming, unbalanced difficulty, broken stealth mechanics, etc.
It upsets me because I know Mark Cerny is a very intelligent and talented game designer. He worked on some of the best games ever made in my opinion. This one just wasn't one of his successes though.
No. Crash Bandicoot is dead. Probably the one chance to see somewhat of a revival of Crash (Mark Cerny's "Knack") died once we saw gameplay of that game.
Activision flatout sucks. First they screw over Sony by not allowing Crash in PlayStation All Stars and now still won't even consider making a new game in the series. *sigh*
Honestly, I'm a little worried about the hardware failing but I'd be just as worried if I picked up an Xbox One as well. They're both new consoles and quite frankly, both seem like they're being rushed out the door to make the 2013 Holiday release schedule.
Then again, I doubt my PS4 is going to explode in my head as soon as I start it up. I have friends that still have their launch Xbox 360's and PS3's in working condition. I think it'll be fine. Just wish all of the good games weren't being delayed left and right.
My local Gamestop has PS4 and Xbox One on display. However, PS4 is the only one available to play. Xbox One doesn't have any controllers. Just video demos. Makes me worried that they're hiding something.
Honestly, even though I'm picking up my PS4 tomorrow and excited about it, I predict there's going to be a crapload of repairing and patching for both consoles in the next few months. I would have waited but it was a birthday gift and also inFamous: Second Son is so close (3 months away).
Wow! That... actually looks really cool! I'm surprised. Even though I picked up the PlayStation Camera already, I thought, "Meh, looks gay" but that game actually looks pretty cool. Interested to try it out tomorrow now.
I read Double-Fine worked on this game. That explains the amount of silly freedom they offer. Hopefully Sony works with them again in the future.

@Blabadon: Pathetic excuse. So are Sony. PS4's line up isn't great but Bonester's isnt any better. Sony has a good excuse after the year PS3'd had, MS are just lazy and arrogant
You approve of them abandoning their existing product before the new one even comes to market? No wonder MS are so lazy when they've got Xboners like this one here.
The Xbox One is a lot better than the PS4 line-up. Forza 5, Ryse, Killer Instinct, Dead Rising 3, Crimson Dragon, Zoo tycoon, etc.
The 360 games in 2014.... Fable HD, Max curse of botherhood, project spark, Titanfall, etc.
So, one 360 exclusive in 2014? That's kinda pathetic.
I agree that Xbox One has a strong launch lineup but it's mostly because they moved games from the 360 (e.g. Crimson Dragon, Dead Rising 3, LocoCycle, Ryse, Zoo Tycoon, etc.) and added them to the Xbox One's lineup.
I don't think the Xbox One necessarily looks bad. VCR design looks meh and I think the PS4 looks nicer since it's much smaller but overall I'd live. What really bothers me@Pray_to_me said:
Still has a nasty power brick and controllers using AA batteries.
This! Ugh, those friggin' power bricks are annoying as hell (Wii-U has it too) and AA batteries? Come on already! Just make every controller chargeable by default like the PS3. I don't want to keep searching my house for new batteries every time the controller dies.
