@KHAndAnime: pretty much any game that has controller support is ready to go with the 360 controller. I was using the ds3 and switched to the 360 controller just because it was easier. Plug and play.
My 360 controller required extensive driver work just to get it working. DS4 all you do is plug it in, download the driver, and play it. Works just as well, if not better.
you should buy the x360 controller instead. better support on PC games.
How do you figure?
I apologise for the snide remarks. But every question i ask, every topic i make is always thrown off track by people making a fuss about the $$$. Im a quality>quantity guy. So if i am spending big money i want to spend it correctly. Thats what this topic is about. Its almost as if people get threatened when they see people talking big money. And instead of helping said person spend a large budget wisely it seems all people do is lash out simpky BECAUSE the amount if money being spent. Now this happens alot.. all over GS. It took a bit, but this thread did its job. I learned that itd take another $1k in gpu's to power a 1600p res and still struggle. So because of that im going 1440p. People just need to be.. nicer to each other lol.
Sounds like you're being jerked around. All you need is another GTX 670. 1600p isn't that big of a resolution difference from 1440p. You'd get higher FPS than these benchmarks by a significant amount considering you have the 4GB model. I wouldn't sweat it at all.
The Topic Title just made me think of All Bethesda Games.
Morrowind literally just asks you what class you want and then throws you into the bulk of the game. All of Bethesda's lesser games have drawn out introductions.

Good to see people finally opened their eyes and are not falling for M$ bullshit this time around.
People all around the world have finally come to their senses about what is amazing (PS4) and what is absolute garbage (X1)
Still, millions of dummies are buying the X1 unfortunately. Had they all bought the PS4, all the developers would jump ship to the PS4 and finally there would be a master console platform to be reckoned with.
There's this other crazy new piece of tech that streams PC games to your TV in full 1080p. It's called an HDMI cable.
But that's not all!
You may be saying, "My PC isn't in the same entertainment center setup as my TV", and, "My HDMI cable won't even reach to the door of the computer room, how is it supposed to reach my TV?"
*insert grainy black and white video of people being very animated about how frustrating it is to look like an idiot, pulling to stretch a 3-foot cable, as if it can almost reach that extra 15 feet*
Now, there's something for you. It's the new and improved, "Longer HDMI Cable".
Do you live in a little shack where all your stuff exists in one room? LOL
I don't know how people can be so dense about this...
It's hilarious to see critics demonstrate odd amounts of extreme leniency in the case of reviewing Call of Duty games, and then absolutely trash other games for sporting generic gameplay or being too similar to predecessors. I've played every Call of Duty game, and they've been near identical ever since CoD 4. Fuck me, the graphics haven't even come too far since then. The franchise is nearly a decade old and we've had ten games...6 of which are super similar to each other in campaign and how they play online. I'm just not sure what motivates people to buy a game that will be completely out dated and irrelevant one year later. I guess I like to get a little more for my money...
Got to ask, what the frigs the point? If you want to see your PC displayed on your TV, why not just take the HDMI cable you would have used for the shield, and crack it in the back of your PC instead? At least that way there's no input latency.
Because not everybody has their PC and television in the same setup? I like to use my PC at a desk and not a television.
Should speak for itself really...

Be warned, people gloat old games that are simply inferior in every way to newer games. Deus Ex people love to talk about, I tried playing it for my first time last year and it wasn't fun. It didn't age well.
While there is truth to these games not aging well the context in which you put this is absurd. These games were GREAT for their time and I would argue had a lot more substance that today's games do. Graphics, animations, sound, and the presence of voice overs alone are far superior in today's games. What today's game lack is depth, period. Most are linear pieces of crap dumbed down for the masses. Even Skyrim and Oblivion were dumbed down compared to Morrowind, each more than the previous, but wow they have voice overs and look great.
Morrowind is a great experience as long as you can understand its limitations due to the time it was made. If it were made exactly the same today but with modern features mentioned it would be the best RPG ever imo.
Who cares if they were great for their time? I want a game that's fun, not have broken outdated mechanics.
Later 2D games luckily don't have this issue.
That's your prerogative, but to say we "gloat" games that are simply inferior is a simpleton statement and it completely not true. Just because you don't enjoy them does not make them "inferior in every way" to newer games. You have to be a pretty shallow dude to say such a thing.
It's pretty blatant which games have the inferior RPG mechanics and RPG content, and we are talking about RPG games, aren't we?...
But who am I to judge someone who wants their RPGs to be an action game and nothing but.

well there's a morrowind mod for skyrim, maybe I'll give that a try
It's a waste of time. You need the real thing. Morrowind with mods competes with Oblivion's graphics (with mods) anyways.
yes but the what people saying about the combat is kinda putting me off.
The combat is fine. It's absolutely no different than any other (real) RPG out there - you click, it rolls an invisible to dice, and then it decides your damage. But it happens in real time. People who complain about the combat make a class that specializes in one weapon, then they use a weapon they don't specialize in and are dumbfounded when they can't hit anything - and then hate the game based on that. Oblivion and Skyrim is just lolspam. It's no better in those games.
Thank you everyone who gave me good feedback. 1440p seems more reasonable, but out of shear curiosity what gpu setup would it take to max out games at 1600p? And run them smoothly..
This might give you an idea

Why are you asking this forum? It's filled with two kinds of people
1) People who don't know anything about high-budget electronics
2) People who think they know something about high-budget electronics but don't know a thing
You already know that the AV-Forums exist, so why are you asking here? What you want is someone who has experience with a lot of televisions. You won't find a person like that anywhere other than an A/V forum. All you will get here is "I bought this TV that I randomly found and I like it so you should buy it".
and you are wasting everyones time by coming into this thread and trying to derail it by being your usual self. i did post on AVS.... its called getting a large sample size. ill post as i please, thanks.
You're the one wasting your time ;)
