And now add up all the problems you get with PC gaming. It can be a real pain just to get the game running.
Anyway, I tried to run Fifa 14 on my old pc with an 8800 gtx and a crap Athlon 64 x2, and it lagged so badly no matter what I did. So if you were so unlucky to buy a PC with a crap CPU, you are most likely struggling with the latest games, even if it's not the GPU's fault.
When it comes to the driving simutation, I would say Gran Turismo. With a good steering wheel setup it feels much more realistic, and I had so much fun with GT5, tuning cars, driving without ABS, and using clutch and stick shift. And GT6 has improved alot even further.
But as a complete driving game, using a controller, Forza 4 and 4.25 is better. Since they have more features, great visuals, and more versatile and easier driving physics that feels great with a controller.

Going by what I've read on here, the PS3>Wii because it has better games, and the PS4>WiiU because it has better (potential) sales. (I'm not here to argue this, of course the PS4 will outsell the WiiU.)
But if you compare the two right now, in terms of sales Wii>PS3 and in terms of games WiiU>PS4.
So when you say PS3>Wii because of games, shouldn't you also have to say WiiU>PS4 because of games?
And when you say Wii>PS3 because of sales, shouldn't you also have to say PS4>WiiU because of sales?
Stop flopping back and forth between one category or the other to make your favorite company seem the best, stick to one or the other.
Wii is about equal, probably slightly better than PS3 in terms of games that matter to me (exclusives).
It's pretty debatable, I was speaking in generalities though based on the consensus of what I've seen here. But if you only owned a PS3 or only owned a Wii last gen you definitely missed out on numerous terrific games either way.@Bigboi500 said:
Cows are complete idiots who flip-flop to whatever situation suits them. During the Wii's reign in sales, cows all said "it's about the games, sales mean nothing." and now that PS4 is doing well out of the gate with no good games, sales suddenly mean everything. And with crap software like Knack scoring low, they're all "scores mean nothing, strong sales of games mean it's good." All last gen they were calling all Wii software "shovelware that only sold to soccer moms and casuals".
No matter what happens, cows have a bullshit excuse for everything. When Wii was out-pacing the competition by miles and miles, sheep didn't talk about sales in every thread.
Now the Wii U destroys PS4 with games, but cows don't care about games and pretend PS3 early sales failure (very similar situation) never happened. It's no wonder everyone agrees that cows are by and large the most annoying group of fanboys.
Like Cows are the only ones who do this. Every one who have had a Playstation in they're time knows that Sony will deliver in games, maybe not right away, but during the generation they will have some of the best and most impressing titles. Now, when games are lacking in those periods, Cows will find other positive sides to brag about. Like sales. It's not they're fault they have multiple things to brag about.
It seems it's just too easy for a Forza game to get a 9 here. I know Forza 4 was a great game, and I didn't expect this game to be worse, but better visuals and driving physics should be expected from a next gen game. Having less content should have affected the score more. Now all Turn 10 have to do to get a 9 here for Forza 6 is adding some extra content.
I think it's cool that Crytek is making other games besides Crysis, and they sure have the skill to make a good looking game on troublesome and week hardware. But the gameplay looks so boring, and I am not impressed by the graphics considering it's next gen hardware and they are some of the best skilled devs out there when it comes to graphics tech.
KZSF is far more impressive, and I think they will improve alot over the next few years working on the PS4 hardware, just like the other first party devs at Sony.
Gran Turismo 6 with all that content, weather effects, and day/night cycle, running at 1280x1080p upscaled to 1920x1080p is far more impressive on that old tech, compared to Forza 5 at 1080p native on a next gen console. I gotta agree that resolution isn't everything, but the facts are clear, the PS4 has more power available. If COD had ran at 720p on the PS4 it would easily have been able to run far more graphical tech than X1.
@seanmcloughlin: Both TLOU and GTA5 do other graphicall stuff besides resolution that makes the games look and feel great. But with both those games I would say the biggest problem is that the graphics is'nt consistent. They can look stunningly good at times, but also pretty bad, like some scenes have AA and others don't for example. I think naughty dog will make a graphics king regardless of the resolution it will run on. The game will have all the newest tech running, and the graphics will be more consistent. The resolution itself isn't everything, most games this gen will probably run somewhere between 720p and 1080p, and then upscale with some AA going on.
The visuals does'nt really impress on either platform. COD runs at 1080p 60fps on the PS4 because they could, ok, with some drops in fps. The X1 had to run at 720p to manage 60fps at all, and if the PS4 version had ran at 720p it would easily have managed a stable 60fps with more going on at once. The power difference between the consoles is looking to be true.
Also remember the extra compute power that devs are'nt utilizing on the PS4 yet.
This is probably a mix of poor game development, and weeker hardware than they expected. Let's not forget it's Capcom, and they probably are'nt the best at making a open world game.
When it eventually comes out on PC, which it will, the game will probably have tons of issues and stupidly high requirements to run.

It wont take long, we saw last gen that multiplats were comparable in quality with only subtle differences. First party devs will continue to bring the goods because its always been that way.
Despite topic after topic on this and umpteen painfully dull tormentos posts the differences are not as black and white as forum dwellers will have you believe.
No. It really is. The difference between 720p at 1280x720= .9million pixels and 1080p at 1920x1080 = 2.1 million pixels is 1.2 million pixels, over twice as many in 1080p than in 720p. The power required to produce 1080 over 720 is substantial, and there is a substantial power difference in the console's GPU. Look how the xb0ne GPU, 7770 performs at 1080p in in comparison to the 7850/7870 of the ps4.. The 7770 simply can not hit 1080p60fps in most modern games. Not even last gen games. Lol @ goons that think it will be able to hit 1080p going forward. The assets will improve but it's a 720p box for life. The power just is not there.
Well I like to use my eyes and the fact that I have to stare at bullshots to notice a fraction of a difference in some folliage tells me that actually the difference is marginal at best. Its all relative and largely dependant on the size of your television and your distance from it.
The difference is bigger this time around, compared to last gen. What do you think will happen later in the gen when game developers push the PS4 hardware even more, utilizing the extra compute power it has. We will see games later in the gen on the PS4 running closer to 720p to keep up the performance, while the X1 won't even be able to run those games.
Had there been some hidden power in the X1 that was hard for devs to utilize like with the PS3 in the beginning, I would have understood the differences. But the hardware is very similar this time, and this just proves that the difference in power is bigger between the X1 and PS4 compared to the PS3 and X360.
Sure, most multiplats will be the same gameplay wise, but that is just until devs start to push the PS4, utilizing the extra compute power it has. We know how good Sony's first party devs are at getting the most out of the hardware. As the gen progresses, advanced physics, animation, and graphical effects, will drag performance down on both consoles, and that will not turn out well for the X1. We may see games below 720p.
PS4 will have awesome first party exclusives that will push gaming forward, while the X1 will have unimportant TV/media options that will only be available in America. The PS4 will still have Netflix and other important apps that comes along. The X1 will be competing against cheaper BD players and media streaming boxes that will do the same, and look better in your living room. They won't play games of course, but people who are interested in just watching TV will have cheaper options.
I bought a HP PC almost 2 years ago, with an Intel I7 2600k, 8GB RAM, and a Nvidia 550TI. Later I put in a bigger PSU and a ASUS GTX 670 4GB.
The PC is not big in size, fits quite nicely in the living room, and is surprisingly quiet. It can run all games maxed at 1080p.
I will get a PS4 for the exclusives and some multiplats.
The BD disc and drive is alot better tech than the old DVD drive with the high failure rates. Thanks to BD discs, all my PS3 games are still scratch free and they work. BluRay also did great things for the movie business.
I think alot of multiplats would have had more content on disc, better audio, better graphics, and bigger and more varied gameworlds if they had more space to work with. Games really got more advanced when MS allowed mandatory install on the X360. MS really screwed up by not having HDD's with every X360's sold.
