Wow I don't think me and Lulu_Lulu will ever be able to get along if we met eachother.
Not all games need to be realistic, if a veteran soldier was actually in some of the situations in these turn-based games, they wouldn't stand a chance at all, without being able to think things through. This is why this is a game, and not the real world.
Rpgs realistic, man people thinking like this must be why it's hard to find a good RPG in this day and age.
@Jacanuk: Give me proof of this or I'll just call troll.
Kojima has hinted that he may do a PC version, but that if he did it would be after the game has already been done for the consoles.
Stupid damn kid should of pulled over. The cops are in the right here, if anyone thinks otherwise they obviously don't know the damage a vehicle can do to someone. The kid rammed into the cops multiple times, and didn't even give a wif of stopping, and he endangered everybody around him.
Sure it sucks that he died, but if the cops didn't shoot him it could have been much worse. also if the cops stopped chasing him you don't know if he would have slowed down, he may have stayed driving like a god damn moron, and killed someone.

Don't own a gaming pc huh. We've seen better graphics in 2007 than all the games mentioned above running on ps3/360.
Besides I'm ready for the next gen, cause this gen really lacked in the RAM department, and you can tell, especially with ME3.
I thought we were past the PC supremacy garbage, but I guess not. Whether a game runs at 60fps or 30 as long as it's smooth, and the hiccups are subtle than what difference does it make to someone who prefers consoles to PC gaming? There's pros and cons to both sides, but regardless at the end of the day we're all gamers and whether we're mobbing on League, or pwning on Halo, or surviving The Last of Us the only thing that truly divides console and PC gamers are the exclusive titles. Forget all the hogwash about what's under the hood and instead look at what kind of game you're playing. We seem to be losing sight of that and trading that in for who can make there's look more like a portrait.
I never said graphics(I've just played through Skies of Arcadia, Xenosaga, and soon Baldurs gate 2 again(Nov. 15th)) are better over gameplay(They are not), and never stated that PC gaming is better than console gaming. All I was doing was stating a fact, PC's have produced graphics that surpass any game released on PS3/360 a long time ago, and I don't think next gen is going too look better than a PC at the same time(usually a console would produce better graphics for a year or 2, but I don't think that's going to happen this next gen(one week and we can call it this gen)). I own every modern console(besides 3ds if you include handhelds), and have loved playing them, and still do(though not much to play on the 360 for the last couple years imo).
If the graphics are the most important to you(horrible horrible gamer imo if you hold graphics over gameplay), then why don't you get a gaming pc, because games released on pc will look better than games released on ps4 or Xone.
Truly the best RPG ever made, especially in the story/narrative/characters department, nothing comes even close to it in those areas.
Great game with a Great story(amazing dialog), but best rpg ever made? No(my opinion), don't get me wrong I love the game, but Baldurs Gate 2, The Witcher series, the older FF's, Skies of Arcadia, plus more I would consider to be better rpg's. Not better stories mind you just better games.
Red Dead Redemption
Imo opinion quite overrated, but it is definately a good game, and the story is pretty good also. Think gta western and you'll get most of what it is like. Though I find it better than gta personally.
Mario Galaxy 1 & 2
I've only played the first one, and it was quite fun, and something different, but I also never finished it.
I've only played the Prime series, and it was very good you should play them. I've heard great things about earlier Metroid games also, and am thinking of trying them myself. I haven't played the newest one, and I've heard bad things about it.
Final Fantasy 7, 8 & 9
FFX is my second favorite FF, just behind FFVI(play this one it's fantastic. on psx, and Snes(preferred)). FFVII while overrated is still a very good game, and has a good story aswell. FFVIII I liked, but to tell you the truth I don't remember much about it(might say something about the game), but I do remember enjoying playing it, I remember it had a romantic side to it, but the story wasn't to great imo. FFIX I haven't actually finished(and have been meaning to) I rented it when it around the time it came out, but the second disc wouldn't work, dang it I was enjoying the hell out of it too. I do have it on PSN, but just haven't started it yet.
Rayman Legends & Origins
Can't comment I've never played any Rayman games.
Tales of Xillia
Imo a very good game, with a bigger focus on story compared to previous Tales of. The combat(real-time) is fantastic also, there is also a sequel coming out for it next year.
Heard many great things about it, but haven't played it.
Knights Of the Old Republic 1 & 2
Excellent games(Imo easily better than anything else with the Star Wars name on it). KOTOR 1(Bioware) is excellent and well made, and has good characters and story, with a great twist also. Though KOTOR 2(Obsidian) which I consider the better one had some serious flaws, and bugs when it came out(due to time constraints). So if you get KOTOR 2 I recommend getting it on pc and installing the unofficial patch which resolves most of the problems, and restores some lost content. KOTOR 2 is darker than what you would usually get with Star Wars, and the writing is exceptional(well it is Obsidian).
Super Stardust Delta
Played, and own the original one, and it is fun, but can't say much about this one.
Max Payne 3
Have only played the first 2, and since you have also I'll just stop here.
The Last of Us
It's good has excellent production values, but imo ok gameplay, average story, great voice acting, great graphics. All in all its overrated(especially the story) imo, but it is a good one time play.
Very much a interactive movie(it's suppose to be), and the story is alright I suppose though it could have been much better. This is one of the few games where quick-time events are actually well done imo.
Haven't played, think I played one of these on the N64, but could be wrong.
Legend of Zelda series
Many would criticize me for not having played the older metroids, and chrono Trigger(considering my favorite genre is rpg), though I have played every console(non-handheld) Legend of Zelda. The series is fantastic, the ones that I would consider to be the best(well they are all good, besides the CD-I ones) would be: a Link to the past(2d, snes), Ocarina of Time(3d, N64), and Windwaker(3d, GC, and recently remastered on WII-U). of course they are all standout titles, with many considering Majora's mask(3d, N64) to be best. I was a bit disappointed with Skyward Sword though(maybe cause I'm not a fan of motion controls). These are great games you should definitely play them.
I grew up in the 90s, and I consider the 50s and 60s to have the best music. I'll still take 80s over todays any day of the week though. I don't even listen to the radio anymore, it's just a bunch of crap(personal opinion of course).
Out of all the music you listed I'm not a fan of any of them. Well I do like some of Bon Jovi's.
Out of those games the best game easily(at least imo) is Deus Ex HR, I found RDR very overrated(not bad mind you). KOA can take you a very long time and its not bad.@Maddie_Larkin said:
I will try to give my view on the three games you asked for:
Deus Ex: HR - This is perhaps one of the bigger surprises for me this gen, it is a facinating and well made RPG (a hybrid really) that often borders on absolutely brillient but never quite crosses the line, this is mostly due to the boss fights which are poorly implemented, and some characters being oddly twodimentionel in a game where so many characters are made to be so well made with viewpoints that you can understand and relate to. Bugs me a bit that none lethal ways to do Things are rewarded better.
KOA: Rec - Soeh, what can I say here? It often times looks great, absolutely beautiful. The combat is somewhat impressive for a game of its kind. So the actual gameplay is pretty good. BUT! The game lacks in mission and story, in all accounts it feels like a single player MMO, with people having quest markers over thier heads and a story so utterly forgettable that it is not even funny. It is not a bad game, but out of the ones listed it is the one I would pick the last.
RDR - Likely Rockstars best game. Mind you that is not saying much given that I really dislike most GTA games (find them a clunky mess with insufferable characters and overblown story without real depth) But RDR is somewhat different, it is a well made story in a facinating World. While control leaves Things to be desired, and gameplay gets to feel a bit repetetive at one point, it is flaws that are easy to forgive given how well the actions plays into the World and story (In that sense it is the exact opposite of KOA) It Begins to drag around the midway point a bit, but finishes really strong. Next to the old game "Outlaws" this is pretty much the best western game crafted in my eyes, and despite how it looks like a GTA game on the surface, it feels so different when you sit Down and play.
The Witcher - I don't know if you have a PC, but if you do, you might want to try to look into the first Witcher, it has some flaws in combat but more then makes up for it in the World/story and personality. It is one of the best RPGs Ive playied all gen, and sadly forgotten when TW2 came out (a game I felt failed to live up to the predecessor)
Mass Effect - Yeh I went there -.- the first mass effect is a decent RPG with great characters, the 2nd is more of a hybrid then an rpg, and the third caught too much flak due to the endings. Overall those 3 games can be had for cheap and has an aweful lot of hours of fun to be had. It often catches flak for the Whole "what is an rpg" but it is one of the series you should play (if you have'nt).
Valkyria Chronicles - Not exactly an RPG, but I often find that people forgot about this game which is likely one of the ones that made a bigger impression on me from the PS3 library. Given its somewhat tactical nature and being turnbased I think most people wrote it off simply for the genre.
Dragon Age: Origins - This game seems to devide people a Whole lot, in alot of ways it is so stereotypical that it is laughable but it has its charm. It suffers from being Biowares "other game" and rarely got as much attention as Mass Effect. Mind you it has issues, with the World being pretty darn "by the book" (yeah pretty much so much that it could be ripped straight from Tolkin).
The thing about Dragon Age: Origins(relating to your by the book comment) is that the lore is what sets it apart from anything like LOTR, and it is quite exceptional(imo), but I will agree if you don't pay attention, and read all the lore it does very much have feeling of similarity with LOTR in many ways.
I've gotten quite sick of Shooters especially FPS's, but I still love me a good J-rpg, W-rpg, and Strategy game. I'll also take any good action-adventure type game(for example MGS, Legend of Zelda, Beyond good and evil(man I want a sequel)).
Were in a generation where developers don't want people to think(to appeal to the lowest common denominator), so all the games are much simpler, and require little thought process.
I've found this gen to be quite sub par compared to previous gens.
Sad news for those wanting to buy Wii's, it's going to stop
Didn't even know they still made them. Besides if someone really wants a Wii, they can just a Wii-U since it plays all Wii games also(it just doesn't have GC compatibility).
Even though people really give it a hard time I really like the Wii-U(though I did hate the Wii remote(also hated Kinect for that matter)), but it really does need some games. Can't wait till X is released.
I would buy it. I liked FFX's battle system, just hated the characters.
Even Auron(imo the best character in the series). I thought most of the characters in FFX were really good, and yes I liked Tidus. I don't even understand why people consider him whiny when he really isn't all that whiny at all.
