“Video games have been a part of my recreational activities since I was three years old. Whilst Arcade Flight games and Shmups comprised the bulk of my game collection during my early childhood, I quickly found myself branching out into other genres as time went by, eventually leading to my appreciation for games of many different types, both from the West and the East. Today I find myself feeling just as comfortable guiding a party of intrepid heroes through a dark and foreboding dungeon, as I do sitting in the cockpit of an F/A-18 Hornet chasing down MiG's at breakneck speeds amidst a hail of enemy fire. Video games have come a very long way since their inception in 1947 in the form of the 'Cathode Ray Tube Amusement Device' With the technology available to developers across the globe today, video games can only be expected to reach new heights never previously thought possible. As an individual eager to witness the evolution of interactive digital entertainment, I have made it my ultimate goal to become a game developer and earn my place in what is one of the fastest-growing and competitive industries in the world. To that end I intend to broaden my knowledge and deepen my understanding of the video games industry as well as the skills necessary for one to possess in order to take their first steps as a game developer.
