“I am currently at Imperial, and am now applying for funded PhD placements. I would like to study video games and immersion. I have a paper published in UKHealth Informatics Today. I may put the link up soon... =========================================================== I like to spend my time eating out, watching films and playing games. I have been playing for over 20 years now, and I think it is making me bitter somewhat. I find myself wishing that game designers would be more creative. I know enough about music to know when the term "classical" is being misapplied. ========================================================== Films: I like most Sci-fi, I cant abide horror, I love David Lynch, I think Tim Burton is too mainstream, I enjoy some mecha anime, I don't like dubbing, and I think Star Wars should have had the subtitle "The Hidden Fortress" not "A New Hope", fans of Akira Kurasawa will understand...
Games are more important than paying for food or paying the bills. The serious collector has made a lifelong investment in the pursuit of having way more games than you do. Ignoring review scores, maintaining few friendships so as not to commit oneself to additional spending on birthdays or holidays, this individual is single-mindedly intent on owning lots and lots of games. A noble pursuit, indeed.
