“Technically I've been videogaming since the late 70's when I used to go to the arcades. My first home system was the Atari 7800. Since then it was the NES, SNES, PC, PS1, PS2 and now the 360. I play at least a little bit of all genres, but RPG's would have to be on the top of my list. Was already an RPG fan from my Dungeon & Dragon days back in college. My first RPG was Ultima: Exodus for the NES, after that was Dragon Warrior and it took off from there. Favorite series: Dragon Warrior for the NES, Final Fantasy, Madden, High Heat Baseball on the PC, Baldur's Gate, Doom, Onimusha, Resident Evil, Silent Hill, God of War and the Condemned games, among many others. I have a 19 year old son who's into video gaming, and two younger daughters who are just starting to get into it. My wife puts up with it :) I'm an accountant and my wife is a teacher. Originally from New England, and am a big fan of Boston sports teams, though I now live in Florida. Really enjoy Gamespot and sharing thoughts, opinions, advice etc. on the forums.
Games are more important than paying for food or paying the bills. The serious collector has made a lifelong investment in the pursuit of having way more games than you do. Ignoring review scores, maintaining few friendships so as not to commit oneself to additional spending on birthdays or holidays, this individual is single-mindedly intent on owning lots and lots of games. A noble pursuit, indeed.
