“I have been coming to Gamespot for about 12 or so years now but used the forums a couple of years ago for the first time.I have been gaming since the Atari 2600 at the tender age of oh, about 5 years old I suppose. The first game I played was Pong at a Chuck E. Cheeses. The first PC I had was the TRS-80 from Radio Shack. Now that was a PC! Ha! I also recently built a new PC (Oct. 2005)....I am in heaven! Newly upgraded to a Quad-Core!! (Intel Q6600) (February 2008) (Upgraded the GPU to an Ati 4890 from an nvidia 8800GT June 2009)
Games are more important than paying for food or paying the bills. The serious collector has made a lifelong investment in the pursuit of having way more games than you do. Ignoring review scores, maintaining few friendships so as not to commit oneself to additional spending on birthdays or holidays, this individual is single-mindedly intent on owning lots and lots of games. A noble pursuit, indeed.
